About Rediscover Education

A different approach, built around the individual.

We believe that every young person has the potential to succeed — sometimes they simply need the right environment, the right relationships and the right opportunities to rediscover it.

01

More than a placement

At Rediscover Education, we provide appropriate, individualised provision for young people who may be struggling to engage within mainstream education. Our approach combines education, personal development, wellbeing and physical activity to create an environment where young people can feel safe, valued and motivated to make progress.

Our aim is not simply to provide somewhere for a young person to attend. Every placement should have purpose, measurable progress and a clear direction. We work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, families and the young person to understand their individual needs, strengths and barriers to engagement.

From there, we create a personalised pathway designed to help them rediscover confidence, rediscover potential and rediscover learning. Where appropriate, our ultimate ambition is to support young people towards successful reintegration into education or a positive and sustainable next step.

Every young person deserves the right provision.

02 — Sport at the heart of our approach

Sport as a vehicle for engagement and development.

Sport and physical activity are central to the Rediscover model. We recognise that for many young people, engagement does not always begin behind a desk.

Sport can provide a powerful route into building relationships, developing trust and creating the sense of achievement that can become a foundation for wider educational progress. Importantly, sport is not used as a replacement for education — we use it as a vehicle for engagement and development, creating positive experiences that help young people reconnect with learning.

A successful session on the pitch, in the gym or through a physical challenge can provide the first opportunity for a young person to experience success, recognise their own capabilities and begin transferring that confidence into other areas of their education.

What we stand for

The individual comes first

Every young person is unique. We take the time to understand each individual — their strengths, their barriers, their goals — and build provision around them.

Relationships matter

Trust is the foundation of everything we do. We invest in building genuine, positive relationships with young people, families and the professionals we work with.

Safety and wellbeing are non-negotiable

We maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and create environments where young people feel safe, valued and respected at all times.

Progress looks different for everyone

We celebrate every step forward — whether that's an academic achievement, a new skill, improved confidence or a positive relationship rebuilt.

Reintegration is the goal

Where appropriate, we always work towards helping young people move forward — back into education, into employment, or onto the next positive step in their journey.

Partnership drives outcomes

We work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, families and other professionals. The best outcomes happen when everyone works together.
